Back to the roots this round, with heavy licks of synth throughout. Big shout out to my man D-Turn, who is a veritable GOLDMINE of 80’s new wave and new romantic classics. “Strange Animal” by Gowan manages to rhyme “radical” with “fantastical” and “animal”. Give that man some kind of award. “Crockett’s Theme” by Jan Hammer (rad name, rad man) from Miami Vice, and you can just HEAR the rolled up jacket sleeves and synth-player-perm throughout the body of the piece.
