PODCAST #126: 2001 - an old odyssey…

Time to jump in the Delorean for a minute. 2001 (and thereabouts) was pretty much the beginning of TommyK and I’s full blown embracement of this thing most people call dance music (Tom’d still probably call Kid Creme’s Shakedown edit his fave track of all time). So many lost nights at places like Terrace, Laundry, Yu and Globe with friends we’ll have for many years to come. This one goes out to all the people that were there for these tracks the first time round - Pauly, Sam, Trav, Aidan, Graz, Brooke, Janey, Sean, Mel, Dalez, Sam, Joel, Aaron, Dan, Craig and the rest of you trashbags from the turn of the century. Seriously Sydney - this weather is getting beyond a joke. It seems like every weekend i’m staring at the BOM website shaking my head. At what point did winter become a real life f*cking Waterworld? I’ve had half my season of soccer lost to bad drainage, soft muddy conditions and torrential downpours, while my nights involve dodging anything with a balcony, backyard or walkable distance. I better not f*cking hear Warragamba Dam complaining about water levels for a looooong time. On that note I’m off for an epic hot shower. Enjoy…

Had a great night out last night with a friend who recently had a kid. For someone whose life has become, nappies, endless cycles of sickness and monosyllabic grunts - he can still drink like a trooper. So one night off from the responsible and one night on for trashbaggery.
